Instrumental music competition is for Composers, Soloists, Instrumentalists, Chamber Groups (of any kind) Ensembles and Orchestras of All ages and Nationalities.
This category is intended for your instrumental compositions, solo pieces, or compositions with multiple instruments.
Soloists, small or large groups, bands or orchestras can participate. Register with your own studio recordings, live recordings from concerts or performances, or demo recordings.
These can also be compositions that have already been publicly presented at performances, released on CD or, conversely, new or older compositions from your studio not yet presented.
Musical compositions and pieces must have a maximum length of 6 minutes, exclusively in mp3 format.

What the previous Winners said about the FMC?
It was a great opportunity to participate in the FMC 2020, and it was also a great honor to be the 3rd place winner for the category of ‘Original Music for the film Kerama Blue’, as this is my first time participating in an event as important as this.
Realizing that I was one of the winners were such unexpected news for me.
I want to thank the whole team of FMC for making this kind of event, especially during these hard times we’re all facing because of COVID-19. I also would like to congratulate everyone who participated in the other categories.
And finally, I encourage other composers, musicians and amateur musicians to participate in the 2021 edition because it is an opportunity to keep growing as a professional and touching hearts through music.
I am so grateful for participating in the Original Theatre Music category of FMC 2020. Just reading what the judges accomplished in their professional area obliges you to submit your material for consideration! I find myself being in the best place for creating more music, inspired by the community I am part of now.
It is a great honor for me, to have participated in it, I didn’t think I would end up and win in this category.

I learned about the FMC-Film Music Contest through facebook and I understood that it would give me the opportunity to confront myself with musicians from all over the world.
The presence of professionals in the sector in the jury and in the organization were decisive in the choice to register for this contest.
I think it’s fantastic that the FMC-Film Music Contest has opened up to music at 360º giving the possibility to those who, like me, also write instrumental music.

All genres and types of instrumental music, including Relaxing, Ambient and Meditation music, will be accepted.
The competition is unrestricted, and musicians and players who play a classical instrument such as brass (trumpet, trombone and baritone), piano, classical guitar, cello, clarinet, double bass, flute, violin or viola, all types of percussion instruments or any modern or special cultural instrument may enter the competition.
After successfully submitting the application, expect a confirmation email about your registration at your email address.
