Adam Balazs

Adam Balazs is a multi-award winning film composer with a body of work that includes more than 50 feature films and over 800 episodes for television. He composed music for the 2017 Academy-Award winning short film “Sing” (Won 1 Oscar. Another 13 wins & 1 nomination) and the 2018 Golden-Bear Winner and Academy-Award nominated feature “On Body and Soul”(Nominated for 1 Oscar. Another 17 wins & 16 nominations). Adam is a member of the European Film Academy, the Hungarian Film Academy and teaches Digital Orchestration and Composition at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music since 2014.

Adam also recenly scored a number of highly successful international HBO European Original Programming series including IN TREATMENT SEASONS 1-3 (aka TERÁPIA), SHADOWS (aka UMBRE) and RAMAI CU MINE (aka SHALL WE DANCE) and is currently scoring UMBRE SEASON 2.

Adam was responsible for the on- and off-channel musical image and network identity of Cinemax and HBO for seven years and his music was featured in the soundtrack of BEDAZZLED (featuring Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley) and in hit Television shows that include FRIENDS (NBC) and PROJECT RUNWAY (BRAVO).

Adam’s collaboration with noted CGI company, Digic Pictures resulted in the PromaxBDA-winning extended version of the DRAGON AGE 2 INTRO (Electronic Arts) and VOX HUMANA. Adam’s commercial credits include  COCA-COLA, TOD’S, STIHL, CALVIN KLEIN and ARMANI.
