Singapore

After leaving the medical profession, Jason trained in acting at NIDA (Australia) before embarking on a filmmaking journey that saw him producing, writing and directing TV and film. He co-wrote, directed and scored a multi-award winning web series (Perfect Girl) that became the first Singapore drama to be picked up by Netflix. That paved the way for a feature film co-production with Okinawa that went on to win Best Film (Audience Choice) at the 37th Hawaii International Film Fest. Jason was once again co-producer, director, writer and composer on the film. The film, Jimami Tofu, became the longest running film in Singapore cinemas. Having mixed his own soundtracks, Jason was dissatisfied by the audio quality in many cinemas during the festival circuit as well as their theatrical release. he and his co-producer then set out to solve the audio problem by launching a world first technology that allows users to watch a film on a big screen while listening to high fidelity audio on their phones, perfectly in sync. The technology, Cinewav, is now used in over 9 countries to improve event movie screening audio.
